It should measure at least 8-mm but preferably more, and also comes with a tough, clear melamine coating that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs.
Second, it's easy to care for with only regular sweeping and periodic mopping with a manufacturer-approved cleaner. Installation is also easy, especially if it's a floating floor where pieces click together, mat, then hover over a clean, dry, and level subfloor without nails or glue.
